Staff Perspectives

Terra Heigl’s first job after graduating college in 1985 was as a Residential Manager with the Arc of Monroe, supporting people living at the Gorsline residence run by our agency. After almost four years in that position she transitioned to be Vocational Counselor at the Ridge Center sheltered employment program. Always desiring to do more, she made the move to our Article 16 Clinic as a Rehabilitation Counselor, and was in that position for close to 20 years.  At the clinic she was also a Treatment Coordinator for five years, and in February 2019 received a promotion to Clinic Manager. …

37 years at the Arc of Monroe

Staff Perspectives

Pam Furr is a wealth of knowledge having worn many hats over the 37 years she’s worked for the Arc of Monroe. This means she has seen the agency grow over time, along with the people we support.  She truly admires the mission of the agency and how it serves our community. A 38-year career at ArcWorks

Staff Perspectives

Gloria Boose was hired as a Clerk/Typist 38 years ago at what is now ArcWorks. The best thing about coming to work every day, in her opinion, is seeing the people we support. “Everyone is genuine. It’s so refreshing. I feel like I’m doing something good and helping people. This job is rewarding.” Having been with the Arc for so long she has seen many people who used to work at ArcWorks move on to our Silver Lining program, a service for retirement-aged people we support. Gloria expresses that she’s had good supervisors and directors along the way who made …
