Jeanette Dohner is currently employed at Ballantyne as a Team Leader and has been employed at the Arc of Monroe for 24 years! Starting at the Penfield house doing overnights then moving to a more traditional schedule. She even helped coordinate the house’s vacations. Jeanette eventually went back to school at MCC and Brockport where she earned an AAS in Human Services, a minor in Geriatrics, and started working on a BA in Recreation.  After this she began her role as Medical Liaison for three years. In 2017, just 6 percent of Monroe County’s more than 57,000 disabled residents were employed, and of the nearly 20,000 total individuals unemployed in the county that year, some 19 percent were people with disabilities.
