Every back yard deserves a spruce up, and The Arc of Monroe’s homes are no exception! Over the next few weeks, Arc staff are invited to take part in “Volunteer in The Arc's Back Yard,” an initiative that will give us all the opportunity to beautify The Arc of Monroe’s residential homes. Let’s be caring neighbors and show how much we value the people we support by offering our time, talent, and resources to these Rochester neighborhoods!

The Arc Foundation of Monroe will supply you with a first-aid kit and water, and Facilities will equip you with all the necessary tools like mulch, rakes, etc. Bring along your own gardening gloves, hat and sunscreen for the day!

  • Homewood: weeding and trim bushes
  • Norran: weeding, bush trimming, trim along back and side of property

    • 9 am to 1 pm OR 1 pm to 4 pm

Take Part in “One Good Turn”
One Good Turn is an Arc program that allows employees to take up to 10 paid hours annually, during their regularly scheduled work shift, to participate in community service activities.

Activities include Arc events as well as your own personal volunteering for other organizations. All volunteer hours during regularly scheduled work hours must be pre-approved by your supervisor.

Be sure to submit any One Good Turn hours through UKG.
