Jeanette Dohner is currently employed at Ballantyne as a Team Leader and has been employed at the Arc of Monroe for 24 years! Starting at the Penfield house doing overnights then moving to a more traditional schedule. She even helped coordinate the house’s vacations.
Jeanette eventually went back to school at MCC and Brockport where she earned an AAS in Human Services, a minor in Geriatrics, and started working on a BA in Recreation. After this she began her role as Medical Liaison for three years.
After being stricken with cancer she dropped down to a direct support position. Later she joined Recreation and then transferred to Ballantyne Day Services where she remains today.
Her hobbies are camping, gardening, Pet Therapy and rescuing dogs. Jeanette has always had a rescued dog. She has always worked in human services and hopes to retire in four years. One of the things she loves about the Arc are the benefits like the awesome PTO accruals.
