Employment opportunities and best practices for people with I/DD during Covid-19
The Arc of Monroe is hosting an Arc Connections webinar and we’re inviting people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD), their family members, Care Coordinators, school staff, support professionals and anyone else in the community.
This session will provide information on how Covid-19 has changed the job landscape and how employment opportunities will continue to evolve for people with I/DD during this time. Panelists from ACCES-VR and The Arc of Monroe’s Job Path will discuss resources, tips and best practices for people with I/DD. They will also discuss how they’re helping to create vocational goals and expectations, job readiness and pre-employment evaluations, and what you can expect for community job prospects and accommodations during this pandemic. There will also be some real world stories of people who have successfully gone through this process.
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to engage with the panel in a dynamic discussion and to ask general questions on this topic. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone you think may be interested in joining.
