Love Your Job! 3 Reasons I Love Working at The Arc of Monroe

Do you love what you are doing? Do you love what you do?

If not, perhaps a career at The Arc of Monroe is for you. Here are 3 of the reasons Nurse Educator Amanda Crandall says working at The Arc of Monroe is so rewarding.

A Warm Welcome is Always Waiting for Me
As a Residential RN I loved getting to know the people that we support. No matter what kind of day I was having there was always a warm welcome waiting for me. Now as the Nurse Educator I love the support team that I get to work with. Everyone is willing to help you and something as simple as a “hi” in the hallway can change the course of your day.

I’ve Gained Self-Confidence
Working at The Arc has given me a better self-awareness. I am much more patient than I ever gave myself credit for. I was also part of the team that ran the COVID Vaccine Clinics. I had no idea I could run such a big project and make it so successful. The self confidence that gave me is priceless!

A Sense of Accomplishment
My favorite part of my job is after I teach the Medication Administration Course (AMAP), we review the main concepts before I adjourn the class. When the whole class can repeat them back to me it gives me such a sense of accomplishment. I know the students will be successful when they go back to their houses.
