Supported Apartments at Fernwood
Fernwood Apartments is a great option for people who are working towards living independently in the community. The apartments are in Irondequoit area and is on a bus line. It provides on-site staff support from 6am to 10pm daily, and there is a 24 hour manager on call to support as needed. The staff support with medications and teaching skills such as community safety, financial awareness, and basic cleaning and housekeeping. People who live at Fernwood enjoy cooking their own meals. There is some transportation available for medical appointments and grocery shopping; however, using public transportation is a plus. The team at the site do help with training for this as needed.

Supported Apartments at Clarissa
If someone is not quite ready for Fernwood, Clarissa Apartment is a great option. Staff are available on an as-needed basis and are there to support a person with tasks as needed. They cook their own meals, are able to perform all ADL’s on their own, and clean and complete laundry independently.
