Meet Audrey who is celebrating 13 years ArcWorks. If you have the opportunity to work alongside Audrey you’ll quickly see she is positive, enthusiastic, hard-working and a great role model to colleagues. Audrey likes the manufacturing and production work she does, especially on the assembly line or packaging. Audrey really enjoys her work hours which are 8:30AM to 2:30PM. Today you can find Audrey packaging medicine, making sure there are 12 bottles in each box. Antonietta Alfano is a Diet Technician working with individuals who live in our residential homes. She coaches both Arc of Monroe staff and residents on healthy eating while working closely with each person she supports on nutritional needs. To assist staff at each house, Antonietta will check receipts as needed to ensure healthy eating and recommends foods to purchase as needed for the individual’s diets as well as the rest of the home. To help people she supports, she provides pictures of the foods that are recommended on their plates and work with them one-on-one to make healthier choices. Antonietta …

Victoria, or Tori, Campbell attends the Arc of Monroe’s MCC Experience program at Monroe Community College. This is her second year in the MCC Experience program. About MCC Experience MCC Experience is a higher education transitional service that prepares people such as Tori for employment. Through classroom learning, participating in campus activities, internships and volunteering Tori is learning all the necessary skills that will help her reach her goals. This program shares a classroom with Greece Central School District. Together they work on survival skills, career development, go to the fitness center, socialize at College Hours, and participate in clubs …

Jeanette Dohner is currently employed at Ballantyne as a Team Leader and has been employed at the Arc of Monroe for 24 years! Starting at the Penfield house doing overnights then moving to a more traditional schedule. She even helped coordinate the house’s vacations. Jeanette eventually went back to school at MCC and Brockport where she earned an AAS in Human Services, a minor in Geriatrics, and started working on a BA in Recreation.  After this she began her role as Medical Liaison for three years. I am starting my first Pathways semester this semester. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, my day starts off with meeting Molly, one of the Arc staff, at the Transit Center. We meet at Gate 11 and then take Bus 55 to the Brighton MCC campus. Some of her first experiences include taking care of a boy who had a feeding tube and working at a summer camp for children with disabilities while she was in high school. Kristina knew in eighth grade that she wanted to be a Physical Therapist!  She volunteered in the PT departments at children’s hospitals while in high school to learn as much as she could.  10 years later she graduated from college with a degree and we are lucky to have her on staff at the Arc of Monroe. Kristina started her career as a Physical Therapist at Rochester Rehab.  When the Arc of Monroe decided to offer physical therapy on-site she took that opportunity and managed the launch of that service, splitting her time between the clinic and day services.
