Additional Adjunct Services through Job Path

The Arc of Monroe offers several pre-employment services that provide various hands-on educational opportunities for people with a variety of disabilities including people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, and learning disabilities.

*These are ACCES-VR funded services.

OPWDD eligibility is not required.

Community-Based Workplace Assessment

A service designed to help a person determine the level of supports needed for competitive employment

  • Takes place in a community employment setting
  • A one-to-two week assessment
  • Work directly with a one-on-one job coach

Goal: to receive a recommendation for future vocational opportunities

Work Readiness

A training service designed to help participants learn “soft” workplace skills
  • 8 sessions that run two hours a piece
Goal: to learn acceptable workplace conduct, practice interviews, and job development concepts

Community Work Experience

A service to help people develop on-the-job skills in an entry level position
  • Minimum wage paid internship experience at a local community business
  • Includes development of internship sites in an entry level position with job coaching support
  • Generally lasts two months, part-time participation
Goal: To give people employment experience
