Adult Project SEARCH®
The Arc of Monroe offers several Employment Readiness Services that provide various hands-on educational opportunities to prepare people with IDD for competitive/community employment.
Adult Project SEARCH® is a business-led internship service that teaches participants relevant, marketable employment skills while immersing them in a community business environment.
Provides a Range of Services Including:
People receive employability skills and hands-on experience in various departments at the DelMonte Hotel Group. Instructors, job coaches, and department managers work together to provide people with all the support and accommodations they need for success.
- Includes three 14-16 week internships in various departments throughout the host business
- Potential internship opportunities in: Laundry, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food Service, Food Prep, Front Desk, and Dishwashing.
- One year program
- Includes travel planning
Eligibility
- Eligible for Community Pre-Voc
- Must be OPWDD waiver enrolled
- Have a desire to work competitively
