The Arc Foundation of Monroe is the beneficiary of this year’s Steel Rail Revival Festival, receiving nearly $20,000 from the Fairport event.  

A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to purchase musical instruments for The Arc of Monroe’s Community Arts Connection (CAC), a day service program that provides people with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to learn new skills, build lasting friendships and give back to their community.  

Rochester, N.Y. — Local celebrities were dancing the night away for a good cause at Innovative Field Tuesday. Five local celebrities teamed up with five people supported by the Arc of Monroe for the inaugural Dancing with the Arc.

The LoveAid Dance Party is coming to Rochester, NY on October 6, 2023 at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square. This big and funky ’70s and ’80s music festival celebrates love and unity by bringing musicians, fans, non-profits, and sponsors together to spread joy and hope in their local communities.

Fairport, N.Y.– The village of Fairport was alive on Sunday with over 200 performers on 5 stages along the Steel Rails. The revival kicked off at 11:30 A.M. Sunday and lasted throughout the day. This was the third year of the music festival and featured performances from 40 local bands.

Members of the local LGBTQ+ community who also have disabilities are getting ready to participate in the Rochester Pride Parade this weekend.

The summer season is in full swing, meaning it truly is the perfect time for music festivals! This Sunday, Fairport is hosting a music festival of their own with the Steel Rail Revival Fest.

The festival includes over 40 bands across 5 different stages, both indoor and outdoor, all to benefit the Arc of Monroe.

The more sparkles, the better. Just ask Mike Hayes and his celebrity partner, the fabulous Kasha Davis. They are one of five Rochester celebrities and people supported by the ARC who are paired up to compete in “Dancing with The Arc.”
