Our day service offerings give people opportunities to learn new skills, build lasting friendships and give back to their community.
This service center provides a diverse array of offerings in the arts that encourages creativity and self-expression. Activities include a dance troupe, community-based musical group, and classes in the visual, fiber and literary arts.
Dance Troupe A Moving Experience
A Moving Experience is a modern dance troupe entirely comprised of adults supported by The Arc of Monroe and currently attending The Arc’s arts focused day habilitation program, Community Arts Connection. This diverse group of dancers performs for various audiences around western New York such as schools, community centers, nursing facilities and religious organizations. The group also enjoys giving workshops in creative movement and choreography for groups looking to move and learn in an inclusive environment.
What We Do
A Moving Experience seeks to spread a message of peace, love and inclusion to the Rochester community and beyond. The troupe has a repertoire of 10-12 dances in a variety of styles, many of which were choreographed by the dancers themselves.

A Moving Experience attends/performs at The Arts Experience Festival in Geneva, NY, BEATS Dance Showcase in Wellsville, NY, at The ArcBeat Music Festival, at The Rochester Fringe Festival, and at the Greece Community Center and at The Strong National Museum of Play.Contact Us

CAC Rhapsodies
CAC Rhapsodies is Community Arts Connection’s band, entirely made up of adults supported by The Arc of Monroe. This diverse group of singers, guitarists, drummers, and other instrumentalists performs for various audiences across the region.
What We Do
The community-based musical group, CAC Rhapsodies, consists of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides people with IDD opportunities to learn new skills in music, build lasting friendships, and give back to their community.

Community Arts Connection also specializes in various art forms from fiber arts to painting, and everything in between. The group showcases their creations at their End of Year Art Show annually at the Barnes & Noble in Pittsford Plaza.
