Day Services with Community Exploration

Community Exploration is a program devoted to enhancing the lives of individuals through community inclusion. The program is specialized to offer meaningful work and social opportunities to its enrolled people.

About Community Explorations

The program is modeled after a ‘program without walls’ and therefore participates in all daily activities in the community. Through the work being done within the community, the staff at Community Exploration promote an increase in life, social and job readiness skills, along with offering ongoing health and wellness opportunities. The program encourages increased relationships with community members, to gain more volunteer opportunities and experiences.

The Arc of Monroe’s Day Hab Without Walls (DWOW) programs include Community Exploration and Silver Lining. Community Exploration is a program devoted to enhancing the lives of individuals through community inclusion while Silver Lining offers opportunities for older active adults to learn new skills, build lasting friendships, and give back to their community. Each program is specialized to offer meaningful work and social opportunities to its enrolled people. These programs are modeled after a ‘program without walls’ and therefore participate in all daily activities in the community.
