Additional Adjunct Services through Job Path
The Arc of Monroe offers several pre-employment services that provide various hands-on educational opportunities for people with a variety of disabilities including people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, and learning disabilities.
*These are ACCES-VR funded services.
OPWDD eligibility is not required.
Community-Based Workplace Assessment
A service designed to help a person determine the level of supports needed for competitive employment
- Takes place in a community employment setting
- A one-to-two week assessment
- Work directly with a one-on-one job coach
Goal: to receive a recommendation for future vocational opportunities
Work Readiness
A training service designed to help participants learn “soft” workplace skills
- 8 sessions that run two hours a piece
Community Work Experience
A service to help people develop on-the-job skills in an entry level position
- Minimum wage paid internship experience at a local community business
- Includes development of internship sites in an entry level position with job coaching support
- Generally lasts two months, part-time participation
