The Arc of Monroe’s employment services team is ready to help with skills evaluation and readiness, training, placement, and ongoing job coaching. We meet a person where they are, with the services that best prepare them for satisfying competitive employment.

Adult Project SEARCH®

Adult Project SEARCH® is a business-led internship service that teaches participants relevant, marketable employment skills while immersing them in a community business environment.

Lyell (ArcWorks) Prevocational Service

ArcWorks is an integrated manufacturing business operated by The Arc of Monroe. Our business offers pre-vocational services to support people in gaining employment readiness skills through a combination of classroom learning and paid work activities.

Culinary Career Prep

Culinary Career Prep is designed for people who are interested in preparing for a career in food service or related industries. The program takes place at ArcDeli located at the Canal Side Business Center and in other local workplace cafeterias.

LifePrep@Naz

LifePrep@Naz is a higher education transitional service that prepares participants for eventual community employment. People learn relevant, marketable employment skills and acquire vocational internship and volunteer experience in various departments on Nazareth College Campus.

MCC Experience

Monroe Community College (MCC) Experience is a higher education transitional service that prepares participants for eventual community employment. People learn relevant, marketable employment skills and acquire vocational internship and volunteer experience in various departments on and off MCC campus.

SELF at The Strong

SELF at The Strong is an employment readiness service located at The Strong National Museum of Play. It is specifically designed for young people with autism to prepare them for eventual employment in our community. Participants will have opportunities to engage in work internships and classroom learning, while being fully immersed in the business culture. This program will provide young people with opportunities to try unique internships to gain transferable work skills.
