Community Resource Connections

The Arc of Monroe’s Community Resource Connections is a free service for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities living in Monroe County. Our Community Resource Specialist (CRS) can help individuals and families with a variety of supports and services including: OPWDD Eligibility, Medicaid Enrollment, and immediate assistance with basic needs.

Family Reimbursement

This no-cost service can help alleviate expenses related to caring for someone with disabilities. Expenses available for reimbursement include, but are not limited to: uncovered medical care, transportation, adaptive equipment, and therapies.

Behavior Management

The Arc of Monroe provides Behavior Management Service to parents and guardians supporting a person with intellectual or developmental disabilities in their home. The Behavior Management Specialist visits the home to evaluate the person and develop a support plan. Then, they teach the family effective tools and guide them on ways to help their loved one be as successful as possible.

This no-cost service prepares people and their families for flying out of the Greater Rochester International Airport. Traveling through a busy airport can be stressful. We make it fun and easy while families practice going through security, and even boarding a plane.
